I never know where the pics will show up on the page and it always moves my writing around.

You can drive every street in this town in ten minutes.Pics are along the way. There is so much uninhabited land up here We have seen some wild animals. Thwew is a place at Watson Lake called the sign forrest. It is a tradition to put up a sign when you go through so friends who come later can see it. I am standing under the Hesperia sign

Dawson City, Yukon Territory

We arrived at DC today and are scheduled to go to dinner at the Triple J then on to Diamond Tooth Gertie's for the Follies. We went to the Frantic Folly's in Whitehorse. It was a lot of fun. I had a camera in my pocket and it got broken before we got there. I could not take and pictures of the Dancing girls. Luckily we had the other camera that served us faithfully on our trip to the east. I am still taking pictures. It is hot here. The first time I have had on shorts in about 3 weeks. We stayed in a dry camp last night but it was beautiful right be side a river. There was a Kayak race from Whitehorse to Dawson City going on and some of the group saw the people paddling by.
We will be here for 2 nights and so hope I can add a little more. If I dont think about us because we will be goinag over a garvel road for 40 miles on Sunday.

Mom Sent this to Me Just sending it on....

Hi, I finally got on to the Internet and I cannot log on to the blog. Would you post a not that as soon as I can get on to the blog that I will send a detailed up date. We are also out of range of cell phone service. They use cell phones around here but we keep getting no service. We are at White horse right now and will leave tomorrow for Minto then on to Dawson City. We have had rain every day since we have been in Canada. I have lots of pictures but they are mostly of trees and road. There is so much unoccupied land up here it is unbelievable. We are with a great bunch of people and the Host and the Tailenders are Christians. Pray before group meals and They pray for our safe travel. Guess you will have to send a regular E-mail if there is any problem. You have the phone# of the parks and you could leave us a message.
One of our jack springs broke and we called to have it overnighted to us. Then we find out that over night is at least 5 days in the Yukon. O well, It could be worse.
As soon as I can I will get the blog going
Love Mom

The Great Adventure begins

Tomorrow the great trip starts. It has been raining so much that
we are getting out the rain coats and boots.
We are in Dawson Creek , the Alaskan Highway starts here. We hope that It clears enough to get our Picture with RC Mountie. They have certain times of days if you go to the Mile "O" marker and the Mountie will be there for photo ops.
I took a walk last night from 8:00 to 9:00 and it was light enough to take some pics. I'll try to send some of them next session.
The whole group has gotten here and we will all go out to dinner tonight, get all the instructions and be ready to take off in the morning. Every one says the roads are good but they also say narrow and curvy. I hope that I don' t have to keep my eyes shut the entire trip.
Today is supposed to e the longest day of the year, so hope the clouds will not blocck us from seeing the sun at midnight.
I hope that you are checking this. I don't think that there is a way to see hoe many hits I get.
Well guess I better get to work packing up the MOho

Chetwynd BC

I had a little trouble with my internet connection at the last Place,Prince George. I did not bring any pictures up because I was not sure what would happen. The town where we are now is the chainsaw carving capital of the world. I took several pictures of the carvings. I will have a few in the blog next time. We will be here until Tuesday then we will move on to Dawson Creek. The great adventure starts on Thursday when the rest of our tour arrive.
I can picture the gold miners in a caravan headed for Alaska, That is how the motorhomes, fifthwheels, Etc are trooping up canada 97 to Dawson and the start of the Alaska Highway.
We hare having another downpour. The drops are huge and lots of them. I told Dick that if we had another shower like this one to come and get me. I had to bring my computer up to the laundry to get he internet. The signal is not strong enough to reach our moho. I will sign off for now and get the pictures ready for the next episode. Good night and stay dry

RAIN,RAin,rain

Wish I could send some on to you guys. When the sun comes out it is really sunny. Then all of a sudden you hear this noise and you better run for cover.
After church we came home and started the get ready to move process. I did laundry to day while the stuff was washing and drying,I walked 2 miles around the wash house. I has a overhang that kept me from getting soaked when one of the showers came by. We will move to Prince George, about 75 miles up the road.
To all my grand sons I want you to be glad that you only have to scoop dog poop. At this RV Park they have Geese and ducks, the poop problem is bucketsfull daily. Ugh!
Good night for now.

Trip to Barkerville

This is a national historic town here and the kids take field trips to learn the history of BC.This town was a gold rush town and had a chinese section. It was cold up there and in a couple of spots of snow. Lucky for us that we had plenty of clothing on. I will include a few of the pictures. There was so much to see there.
It is 9 O clock here and it is still so bright out side that I could take a walk around the camp. The days are so long up here and by June 21 there will be 24 hours of day light. That should be different. More next time

Chilliwack

We are still at Chilliwack, BC, Canada. We plan to move on tomorrow . It has been raining all day here and I am praying for a few hours od no rain so that we can get hooked up with out getting soaked. I don't know if you get the news down there but the rivers up here are at flood stage. We went to Hell's Gate yesterday and road a tram across the Fraser River it is 190 ft above its normal height and rising. Prince George which is north of us is flooded currently and the towns down this way are getting ready. That little white spot on the left side of the first picture under the bridge is where the last major flood reached and they are experting it to at least reach that mark again.

More pictures from the trip are at my gallery.

And if you can't get enough pictures, here's pictures from our trip to China from last summer!

That's all from me for now!
